Discontinuation of LogSpace

We've made the difficult decision to discontinue offering LogSpace as a product. We want to make sure you understand what will happen to your account, and the timeline for this process. We have written this post to go over the details, and we recommend that you read this information fully.
We strongly recommend that you do not delay the export of any data you wish to retain. You'll need to export your data before accounts are deactivated or it will be lost.
No new accounts
Starting today, new users will no longer be able to create accounts.
Mobile app
The mobile app is no longer available to download. Those that have the app already installed will be able to continue using it until May 1st, 2024. On that day, access to the mobile app will be disabled. For any time remaining until your account is deactivated, you'll still be able to use the web interface.
Account deactivation
All LogSpace accounts (users and teams) will be deactivated on June 7th, 2024. After deactivation, you will no longer be able to access or use LogSpace. You will be able to see this end date in your "Team Settings" under "Status". Make sure to export any data you wish to retain prior to this date!
If you have a paid plan:
We are not billing renewals anymore for paid plans, so there will be no charge for the time between now and June 7th. Also, as part of this process we will remove all payment methods that were used for recurring billing.
If you have automatic invoicing turned on for any clients, it will be disabled when your account is deactivated.
Exporting your data
To keep your data after the deactivation of your account, you will need to use the various export features. Please note that this must be done on the web interface and cannot be done via the app.
To export all time logs, you can use these steps:
- Once you are logged in, open the team menu by clicking your team name in the top right bar and then click "Team Settings" in the dropdown menu.
- In the Team Settings menu, click on "Export Time Logs".
- Click the "Export All Time Logs" button and then choose CSV or Excel.
- Once you have the file, please check the contents to make sure you have all the expected data.
- If you are a member of multiple teams, you'll need to repeat this process for each team.
Ways to export other data:
- If you need to customize the export more than "Export All Time Logs" allows, you can use the Report screen to export time logs with various different columns and search filters.
- Expenses can be exported on the Report screen too.
- An invoice list can be exported on the Invoices screen.
- Individual invoice PDFs can be saved when viewing an invoice by choosing the "Download" option from the "PDF" dropdown button menu.
Importing your data into other systems
We regret that we cannot assist you with importing your data into other systems. However, we think that time log data exported from our system can be imported into other systems. Some adjustments to the data file may be required. Please consult support resources for the other system for assistance regarding importing the data into those systems.
